BrewDog updates on European bar plans as it hunts for new sites: Scottish brewer and retailer BrewDog has updated on its European bar plans as it hunts for new sites. The company stated on its blog: “Two weeks ago we submitted a bid on a fantastic site in Paris and we will hopefully receive the keys to a frankly incredible brewpub for the city of light. But we aren’t done with Paris just yet – we are also looking for a second location in the biggest city in France. Such is the amazing scene there for craft beer we are looking for another site for a bar or brewpub. Our area of focus is spread across the 2nd, 4th, 9th, 10th and 11th arrondissements. We are also currently en-route to Germany and the city of Hamburg to hunt out locations for BrewDog bars on the banks of the Elbe. From there it’s a short hop to Berlin and our search for a second location to partner BrewDog Berlin Mitte. A second bar would be cool but we would really love a larger site that we could convert into our first BrewDog brewpub in Germany in the Charlottenburg, Friedrichshain or Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg districts of this city. Aside from Paris, Hamburg and Berlin we are also keen to add Zurich, Vienna and Amsterdam to the great list of places to be prefixed with the word ‘BrewDog’.”
