Star Inn at Harome regains Michelin star: The Star Inn at Harome in Yorkshire, the pub overseen by chef Andrew Pern, has regained its Michelin star in the latest Guide awards for 2015. The pub lost its Michelin star in 2011 having held it since 2002. The Guide has recognised no new two or three star restaurants. Gymkhana in Mayfair, the first restaurant to be given a perfect score by Time food critic Giles Coren, also receives its first Michelin star. Both Nobu restaurants in Mayfair have had their Michelin stars taken away. A total of 14 new restaurants have been awarded a Michelin star. These include: Barrafina, City Social, Fera at Claridge’s, The Clove Club (Shoreditch), Isle of Eriska, Three Chimneys, Kitchen Table at Bubbledogs, Cross At Kenilworth, Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen (Port Isaac), Crown at Whitebrook (Monmouth). A total of 14 restaurants have lost their Michelin star, although five of these have been closed. The 14 restaurants are: Holbeck Grill, Windermere, Danesfield House, Marlow, 36 on the Quay, Emsworth, Glenapp Castle, Balanrea, Inverochy Castle, Fort William, Chapter One, Bromley, Medlar, Kensington, Tom Aikens, Kensington (closed), Vijante (Bethnal Green) (closed), Aspleys, Belgravia (closed), Bo London, Mayfair (closed), Nobu and Nobu Berkeley Street, Mayfair and One Leicester Street, Soho (closed). Neither Manchester restaurant hoping to achieve the city’s first Michelin star, The French at The Midland and Manchester House on Spinningfields, has been recognised.
