ETM Group founders launch Long Arm Brewing Co: ETM Group founders Ed and Tom Martin have launched Long Arm Brewing Co, an independent craft beer micro-brewery. It operates out of a small brewhouse in Ealing, west London, and is selling to both on and off-trade. The brand is launching with four unique brews available by the bottle, keg and cask: Lucky Penny (4% ABV pale ale): an aromatic pale ale brewed with malted barley, a little wheat and Amarillo. An incredibly drinkable pale ale with tonnes of US hop aroma and flavour; IPA-OK (4.5% ABV India pale ale): a fresh, full flavour natural beer that is a tribute to the classic IPAs of yesteryear but with a twist from the addition of fruity hops giving an explosion of tropical fruit flavours and a sharp bitter finish; Birdie Flipper (5% ABV red ale): a rebellious full-bodied, aromatic red ale brewed with malted barley and rye with Chinook, Columbus and Simcoe hops. An incredibly flavoursome red ale, full of interesting tastes and aromas; Shadow Wolf (6% ABV smoked stout): a shadowy stout with a lingering aftertaste. Aromas of chocolate and coffee with hints of caramel, brewed with British East Kent Goldings Hops. Limited edition seasonal specials will also be available throughout the year. The craft beers are now available in 12 London venues including the new Flight Club in Shoreditch, The Botanist Sloane Square and The Jugged Hare in the City. Bottles can also be purchased from Majestic Wine stores in West London (£12.99 for a six pack) and online ordering will very soon be available from the website: www.longarmbrewing.co.uk. Located on South Ealing Road, Long Arm Brewing Co’s micro-brewery stand in the grounds of the historic 18th century Lewis Furnell Brewhouse. The brewery is open for tours, tutorials and beer matching dinners with master brewer Vladimir Schmidt. Ed Martin said: “Having opened 14 pubs, restaurants and bars both in and outside London with ETM Group, we like to think that we know something about beer and are very excited to now be brewing our own. A lot of time and thought has gone into each individual brew to make it unique to the London market. We will be continuing to create seasonal specials and further develop our craft beers as the Long Arm Brewing Co. brand evolves.”
