BrewDog unveils international bar plans for 2016: BrewDog has revealed its target international cities and confirmed plans to operate sites itself in Dublin, Paris, Vienna and Zurich. It stated: “For these grand European cities, we are planning something truly special. In 2016, we want to bring a full-on flagship BrewDog location to each – with everything we do best under one roof. So think of a kick-ass bar with a BottleDog for takeaway beers, an integrated restaurant, vintage gaming machines, shuffleboard and on-site brewing facilities with cool pilot kits upon which you can create your own craft beers to take home! These sites will be operated by ourselves, and we can’t wait to get started. For these flagship sites, we are seeking locations in Dublin, Paris, Vienna and Zurich that are 8,000-12,000 square feet (750-1,100 square metres) – ideally across one level, but with fantastic ground-floor street presence in these stunning cities, in typically BrewDog off-pitch locations! It’s not just these four we have in mind, though. (Here) is a quick run-down of BrewDog bars currently in the works, or locations where we have a foothold and are starting the process: Berlin, Warsaw, Hong Kong, Amsterdam Budapest, Columbus, Ohio. With the exception of Berlin (and soon Dublin, Paris, Vienna, Zurich and Columbus), our international bars are launched in conjunction with awesome, passionate local partners. There are many other amazing cities where we are keen to work with people who rock to find and develop a BrewDog bar – we are actively looking for partners in the following cities to provide us with available sites and suggestions of the best places to open: Copenhagen, Reykjavik, Tallinn, Prague, Moscow/St Petersburg, Athens and Singapore. For an ideal candidate to help us out in these places, we are ideally after the following: Strong local knowledge on the ground. A solid grasp of the local beer and bar scene, coupled with an understanding of what is current around the city, and a decent awareness for the districts and areas around town; operational experience within hospitality is also very high on our list of priorities, so having run a bar before is pretty handy. (partners) will need to be mega passionate about craft beer and really want to build a successful business with us. This kind of goes without saying, but there you go!”
