Andrew Guy resumes chief executive role at Ed’s Easy Diner: Ed’s Easy Diner has reported chief executive Ivan Schofield has decided to leave the company to pursue career opportunities elsewhere in the wake of the ending of the company’s sale process. Offers for the company fell short of its £90m valuation. The company stated: “The board wishes to thank Ivan for his tremendous contribution to the organisation over the last few months. Aside from investing a great deal of energy in the sale process, he has brought clarity and focus to a number of important strategic areas from which Ed’s will benefit over the coming months. Andrew Guy will resume the role of chief executive with immediate effect and Ivan will work alongside him to hand over responsibilities during the next few weeks.” Schofield said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Ed’s and want to pay tribute to all the great people in the organisation who work so hard to make this brand so strong. I wish them all the very best in the future.” Stephen Greene, chairman, added: “On behalf of the entire team at Ed’s I would like to thank Ivan for his contribution during his time with the business. Ed’s is a great brand and Ivan’s extensive experience has been of undoubted benefit to the company at this stage of its development. We wish Ivan well in his future endeavours.”
