Drake & Morgan to open its first airport site at Heathrow: Drake & Morgan will open its first airport restaurant and bar at Heathrow’s Terminal 4 this summer. In a joint venture with the global hospitality and food service provider, Delaware North, “The Commission” by Drake & Morgan will be a new casual all-day dining concept created exclusively for the airport. Located airside in the terminal, The Commission will occupy 4,800 square foot and offer 170 covers with interior design by Fusion. The restaurant will be open every day from first to last flight. The new all-day format has been created with travellers in mind. With a focus on seasonality, provenance and sustainability, the menu will offer the brand’s signature all-day menu, from breakfast and brunch through to lunch and supper, coffees, and cocktails. In addition, the airport site will offer a grab-and-go format for those passengers who like to have an “on-board picnic” when they fly. Jillian MacLean, Drake & Morgan managing director, said: “Our all-day bar and dining format is ideal for transport hubs and we are working closely with Delaware North to deliver a fresh new concept designed specifically to appeal to travellers, from business passengers through to families”. Doug Tetley, Delaware North managing director, added: “We are so excited to be working with Jillian and the team at Drake & Morgan. I am confident that The Commission with its unique offer that ranges from breakfast through to cocktails will appeal to the wide cross-section of travellers arriving at Terminal 4.” Ben Crowley, Heathrow’s head of food and beverage, said: “Drake & Morgan is an incredibly exciting brand and I am delighted to welcome them to Heathrow. We have been keen to expand the bar concepts available at Heathrow for some time and this proposal will provide a real point of difference for Terminal 4 with a quintessentially British touch.”
