Thu 14th Sep 2017 - ALMR names best UK bar and nightclub operators ALMR names best UK bar and nightclub operators: The Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers has revealed the shortlisted nominees for the 2017 Late Night Awards, which recognises the best UK bar and nightclub operators. The nominees across six categories incorporate a wide range of trading styles reflecting the diversity of the UK’s innovative late-night sector. The Late Night Awards, the only awards in the UK recognising and celebrating late-night eating and drinking-out venues, will be awarded on Monday, 9 October at the ALMR’s Dusk ’til Dawn event at Café de Paris in London. The Late Night Awards will follow the annual Bar and Nightclub Conference for the late-night sector and night-time industries at Bafta, Piccadilly, with both events held in association with Propel. ALMR chief executive Kate Nicholls said: “The strength and variety of this year’s nominees shows that, despite legislative burdens and cost pressures, the late-night sector is a busy and innovative one. The awards panel consists of industry leaders and knowledgeable peers, so all the nominees should be extremely proud they have been recognised as being exceptional in a tough and dynamic sector. We are looking forward to crowning the winners on an evening dedicated to the hard work and vigour of this fantastic part of eating and drinking out.” The nominees are Best Late Night Food: CG Restaurants, Duck & Waffle, Eclectic, ETM, and Living Ventures; Best Late Night Drinks: Be At One, Colombo Group, Dirty Martini, Inception Group, and New World Trading Company; Best Late Night Entertainment: Deltic Group, DHP, Lucky Voice, Maxwell’s Group and Novus; Best Marketing & Promotions: Dirty Martini; Eclectic Group; Maxwell’s Group and New World Trading Company; Best Service & Team Development: Be At One; Beds and Bars; New World Trading Company and Stonegate Pub Company; Best New Venue: Impossible, Manchester – Tokyo Industries, Smash Reading – Eclectic Group; Tonight Josephine – Adventure Bar; Tropicana Beach Club – Maxwell’s Group. Tickets for the Bar and Nightclub Conference are £89 plus VAT for operators who are ALMR members and £129 plus VAT for non-ALMR members. Supplier tickets are £165 plus VAT for ALMR members and £225 plus VAT for non-ALMR members. For the Dusk ’til Dawn Awards, tickets are £150 plus VAT for ALMR members and £195 plus VAT for non-ALMR members.
