Pret partners with HMSHost International to launch into Scandinavia with Copenhagen airport openings: Pret A Manger is to launch its first sites in Scandinavia with two openings at Copenhagen airport in Denmark next week after partnering with HMSHost International. The first will open on Wednesday, 7 February in the main Terminal 2 check-in area, with seating for 160 customers. The second outlet will open the following day by the metro station in Terminal 3. Michael Haley, director of partnerships at Pret, said: “Finding a quick, fresh and nutritious meal while travelling can often be difficult, and we’re pleased we can now play a part in making it even easier for passengers travelling through Copenhagen airport. Opening for the first time in Scandinavia is an exciting move for us and gives us a great opportunity to introduce delicious Danish bacon into some of our recipes for the first time.” HMSHost International chief executive Walter Seib added: “We are excited to start this important partnership with Pret A Manger. Pret is known for its responsible approach to doing business and its focus on local communities. We share a similar vision as we are focused on sustainability, food quality, freshness and innovation.” Lise Ryevad, director of airport sales at Copenhagen airport airside, said: “It gives us great pride to welcome Scandinavia’s first Pret A Manger shops to Copenhagen airport. With an internationally recognised brand such as Pret, we are able to offer yet another unique experience to our guests.” The Terminal 2 site will be open round the clock, while the outlet in Terminal 3 will be open daily from 4.30am to 10pm. HMSHost International will operate the sites, with the openings creating 55 jobs.
