Restaurant Marketer & Innovator Awards winners revealed: The winners of this year’s Restaurant Marketer & Innovator Awards, staged by Propel and Think Hospitality, have been revealed. The winners were recognised for their success in marketing and innovation in the foodservice sector at an awards ceremony at Incipio Group’s Pergola On The Wharf this evening (Wednesday, 25 January). The winners were Innovator Of The Year: James Brown (BrewDog); Marketer Of The Year: Michelle Graham-Clare (McDonald's); Future Marketing Leader Of The Year: James Edwards (Honest Burgers); Innovation Of The Year: Turtle Bay UK (Turtle Bay x The Gleaner project for Black History Month); Best Communications: Saving Hospitality (UKHospitality, Fleet Street and Fleishman Hilliard); Best Community or Charity Initiative: Fuller’s (Fuller’s & Made in Hackney) (winner), Brewhouse & Kitchen (The Brewhouse Bar & Kitchen seasonal ale for Ukraine) (highly commended); Best Digital Engagement: Boxpark for Womxn Who Play; Best New Product Development: PizzaExpress for Pizza Wraps (winner), Island Poké for Poké Bao (highly commended); Best New Website: Hall & Woodhouse and Propeller (The Boathouse); Best New Or Improved Visual Identity: Brewhouse & Kitchen with Feature Design (winner), Junkyard Golf with Bert Agency and KAM (highly commended); Best Use Of Technology: Slerp and the Pavilion; Campaign Of The Year: Yard Sale with Gemma Bell & Co (winner), The Alchemist with Natural Selection Design for Enter The Extra, Boojum and Rumour Mill Creative Communications for Fund Your Studies (both highly commended). Restaurant Marketer & Innovator co-founder James Hacon said: “Throughout all the challenges from the past three years, we have continued to see hospitality businesses innovate in extraordinary ways. The calibre of entries to the awards was extremely high and our winners really were outstanding examples of our industry at its best. We are also pleased to continue to recognise the brilliant work of the agencies and partners of these brands had in achieving these results.” Propel managing director Paul Charity added: “These awards fill a vital gap in the sector, recognising the amazingly creative work that is driving the industry, especially at what has been a very testing time. Congratulations to all our winners.” The awards rounded off the fifth Restaurant Marketer & Innovator European Summit.
