Exclusive – Tossed to open new concept at London’s BoxHall: Healthy eating brand Tossed is launching a new concept “Wholesome Greens, by Tossed”, Propel has learned. The concept will make its debut at BoxHall in London’s Liverpool Street on Tuesday (12 August). “Wholesome Greens, by Tossed” will offer a reduced but elevated menu, with a selection of its best-selling salads, wraps, shakes and smoothies adapted for the BoxHall marketplace. Tossed managing director Neil Sebba told Propel: “We have always wanted to open in a marketplace-style food hall, and BoxHall is perfect for us as it also sees the opportunity of a healthier choice within its trader mix. Trading as Wholesome Greens will give us an opportunity to try new dishes and to have some fun, while delivering the healthy, delicious made-to-order food that Tossed guests are used to. It's been a lot of fun working up this new concept with the team at Box Hall and we are excited for the opening on Tuesday.” The opening marks a 13th site for Tossed, which in April Propel revealed had signed its first franchise partner as it looks to become the “UK’s leading healthy eating brand”, with a target of opening 50 franchise stores over the next four years. Tossed has partnered with Goldbean, led by Badar Zaman, a hospitality operator with 20 years multi-site franchise experience and operates ten Costa Coffee sites. The first site under the new agreement will open in central Nottingham. Sebba said: “Our Nottingham store design is completed and it's looking really good. We are looking forward to commencing the build shortly and anticipate opening at the end of September." Tossed is seeking further franchise partners “who want to be part of our movement to take healthy eating around the country”.

Crisp Pizza confirms opening in London’s Mayfair, with strategic support from The Devonshire team: Crisp Pizza, the New York-style concept from Carl McCluskey, has confirmed it will be opening in London’s Mayfair – with strategic support from the team behind The Devonshire. Propel revealed in March that the business, which launched in 2020 when McCluskey took over The Chancellors pub in Hammersmith from his grandma, was eyeing the Marlborough Head pub in North Audley Street. It is now aiming to reopen the historic pub, situated just across Oxford Street from Selfridges, at the beginning of October, also featuring the pizza concept. The project will be led and operated by McCluskey with support from the team behind The Devonshire – namely publican Oisín Rogers, Flat Iron founder Charlie Carroll and Ashley Palmer-Watts, former executive chef of The Fat Duck. A spokesman for the project said: “The interior of The Marlborough has been meticulously designed with a new, hand-built mahogany finish, evoking the classic, comforting feel of a traditional pub. This design philosophy aligns with the Devonshire's ethos of creating a space that feels like it has always been there, moving away from the homogenised aesthetic often found in pubs these days. A cornerstone of The Marlborough will be its exceptional drinks selection. The secrets of the Devonshire’s celebrated Guinness installation have been meticulously replicated, ensuring every pint adheres to the highest standards. Beyond Guinness, the pub is delighted to offer a carefully curated selection of lagers and real ales, with the same attention to speed and quality that has become a hallmark of the Devonshire. Downstairs, a carefully designed bespoke pizzeria has been thoughtfully put together to swiftly and consistently deliver Carl's award-winning pizzas in what promises to be a cool, inviting speakeasy environment. This new business aims to be a quintessential central London boozer with a proven food offer.”
